What is Sustainability?

Sustainability means “the ability to endure.” In other words, it refers to the possibility that our society—and ultimately, our planet—can continue to exist for generations to come.
To achieve this, companies have a responsibility to conduct business activities that enable customers, shareholders, employees and their families, the industry as a whole, local communities, and the global environment to thrive together.

At Okada Aiyon, we implement management practices that prioritize Environment, Society, and Governance (ESG), with our core business centered on the development, manufacturing, sales, and support of construction machinery. This approach embodies our management philosophy: “a company with value to society.”

Our Sustainability Framework

People Shape the Environment

We live within many different environments—not only the natural environment, which is now a global concern, but also workplace environments, interpersonal relationships among employees, and relationships with customers, suppliers, shareholders, financial institutions, and local communities. All these relationships form an “environment,” and every environment is created by people.

We seek individuals who do not simply adapt to their surroundings but strive to create better environments. Through developing such talent and advancing our business, we aim to contribute to a society that is environmentally responsible.

Group Environmental Policy

The Okada Aiyon Group recognizes that addressing environmental issues, including climate change, is a shared responsibility of humanity. Guided by our management philosophy—“a company with value to society”—we are committed to environmental conservation initiatives that contribute to a sustainable society.

1.Compliance with Environmental Laws and Regulations

We comply with environmental laws and regulations in Japan and abroad, as well as local ordinances, agreements, and stakeholder commitments, and act responsibly.
